4BK 1948 Sport Yearbook

Australian sport yearbook for the year 1948, being a part-promo for Brisbane radio station 4BK; the entire first half of the yearbook is devoted to horse-racing, giving results from all the major Australian races (including Caulfied Cup, Melbourne Cup, etc) from inception to date of publication, and also including a section on the ‘Rules of Betting’; other sports include cricket, rugby league, rugby union, boxing, swimming, etc, plus a centre page spread ‘The Bulimba Sports Round Up’; also features some of the 4BK announcers, and lots of Brisbane period advertising; Scarce mid-century Brisbane sports memorabilia; condition is generally a little tired, with medium-heavy foxing throughout, and creases to some pages; wraps rubbed and foxed; Scarce item.
