Vol III (first edition 1885) of Seebohm’s History of British Birds, with b&w text engravings throughout (please note the coloured illustrations mentioned in the title were all contained in vol iv of the set); this volume in 3/4 contemporary brown calf with raised bands and 6 compartments to spine and with gilt borders and titling, marbled endpapers; very minor dampstain top edges of endpapers and prelims, minor foxing, text block tanned, minor knock to foot of spine (with mild creases to some pages), o.w. Very Good throughout; some wear to leather at edges, some wear to cloth rear board; overall a G-VG copy.
