Set of 41 printed/illustrated fold-outs, housed in a cloth box (and in original publishers’ card enclosure for shipping), published to accompany the exhibition of artists’ books, “Blood On Paper”, 15 April – 29 June 2008 Victoria and Albert Museum London; one booklet a single folio with text, one a 3 panel concertina printed both sides, with text by curators Elena Foster and Rowan Watson, and with die-cut incision to front; the remaining 39 are folded leaves (28 x 28cm) of 6 panels – 5 illustrated, 1 title page, showing images of the artists’ book in question, each produced in a different colour; presentation box in red card covered in beige Brillanta book cloth, hot foil stamped in red, the remainer of titling blind debossed; includes the original Natural Scoured muslin cotton; cloth box and contents comes protected by the publishers’ original printed card shipping box; artists include Bacon, Beuys, Bourgeois, Cai Guo-Qiang, Giacometti, Hirst, Koons, Lewitt, Noguchi, Phillips, Roth, Tuttle; all contents Very Good tight bright and clean; cloth box with the mildest handling.
