Brave Young Singers an anthology of child verse compiled from the work of pupils of The Correspondence Classes of Western Australia – first appearance in print of Dorothy Hewett

Collection of poetry by children from 1930’s remote or regional Western Australia, as per The Correspondence Classes of W.A.; most notable for the inclusion of a poem “Dreaming” by Dorothy Hewett; Hewett produced a substantial amount of juvenilia, but we believe this is her first appearance in book form (our research turns up no earlier references); b&w plate illustrations showing some of the children, their homes, etc; orange boards with brown titling/borders, in printed dustwrapper; former owner’s inscription to front endpaper; foxing/tanning (med-heavy) to endpapers and text block, scattered foxing, o.w. Good; dustwrapper rubbed and foxed, o.w. Good.
