Ethel Pedley’s Australian childrens classic, telling the story of a little girl who gets lost in the bush, and is helped to find her way home by a friendly kangaroo; with colour frontispiece and 18 full-page b&w plates by Frank P Mahony; no date, but c1920 (gift-inscription dated 1922); blue cloth boards with illustrated overlay to front featuring a circular illustration of Dot and Kangaroo in blue oval frame; gift-inscription to front endpaper, med-heavy foxing/tanning to endpapers and prelims, scattered foxing throughout, and with occasional short closed tears to edges of pages; dustwrapper heavily edgeworn and rubbed, loss (3cm) to head and tail of spine, front flap detached (but present), dustwrapper held together in clear archival cover.
