Unique pattern-design dressmaking drafting book, with numerous patterns all executed by hand in pencil, and blue and red colour pencils, including pencil drawings on transparent paper approximating the finished product, and occasional pages with sections cut out of self-adhesive yellow paper; the patterns are highly detailed, laid out on grids, with dimensions, degrees of angle, etc and appear to be at least semi-professional; all pattens accompanied by holograph notes in pencil, on occasion filling entire pages; the handwriting appears to be Cyrillic but is difficult to determine clearly; I presume Russia (without conviction!); a faint pencil inscription to front cover appears to show ‘1949’, which I take to be the date, although it may possibly also be part of an address – in any case mid C-20th; produced in a paperback Drawing Book (perhaps three-quarters of the pages employed) 25.5 x 29 x 2cm, with Mickey Mouse holding a candle to front, three punch-holes at spine, with 2 pieces of cord binding, one piece missing; Good throughout, with glue affecting some pages, covers a little rubbed and creased to corners.
