A (supposedly) autobiographical work by Nietzsche, now generally considered to be apocryphal, possibly a forgery associated with controversial publisher Samuel Roth; the book is in the standard aphoristic style, but numerous incongruous aspects occasioned scepticism amongst scholars, notably Walter Kaufmann; b&w frontispiece drawing of Nietzsche, and illustration by Lindlof to prelims; Very Good throughout, boards sunned and stained to spine; dustwrapper edgeworn and rubbed, sunned to spine and top front, o.w. Good.
