Pye, and many more; three-quarter maroon calf with gilt borders, raised bands and six compartments to spine, with gilt titling and devices; marbled boards and endpapers; med-heavy foxing to prelims and text block, lighter scattered foxing in text, most of the engravings showing some offset to facing pages, o.w. G-VG throughout; boards rubbed and scuffed; some wear to leather along joints and to corners; leather split to front joint near head of spine (roughly 5cm), closed tear head of spine (2cm).
