1st Edition of this late collection by Val Vallis, bearing the same title as his first collection – Vallis states thus in the foreword ‘Walt Whitman gave the title Leaves of Grass to every collection of his poetry…I have decided to give the same continuity to my own poetry…..so i have revived my 1947 title Songs of the East Coast’; Signed and with gift-inscription by Vallis to title page; knock top corner of text block with prominent creases resulting, foxing to endpapers, o.w.
