Pine box with Great Bear motif (and titling) screenprinted to top, containing facsimile reproductions of the 20 booklets published by Dick Higgins at Something Else Press between the years 1965-67, which went under the general title of The Great Bear Pamphlets; produced by Primary Information New York in an edition of only 200 numbered copies, this being No. 83; the content is broadly (but not exclusively) Fluxus in nature; Alison Knowles, Dick Higgins, George Brecht, Claes Oldenburg, Al Hansen, Jerome Rothenberg, Allan Kaprow, “Manifestos”, Wolf Vostell, Jackson Mac Low, John Cage, Bengt Af Klintberg, David Antin, Philip Corner, Robert Filliou, Allan Kaprow, Diter Rot (Dieter Rot), Luigi Russolo, Emmett Williams, A Zaj Sampler; each booklet 16pp – apart from the Manifesto volume (32pp), and produced in a different colour, all text b&w apart from the multi-coloured Cage volume; title/edition page letterpress on card, with number in pencil; mild creases to top of Zaj Sampler, o.w. all contents (including box) Very Good tight bright and clean.
