Scarce New Order memorabilia, being three limited edition colour posters (all with similar design theme of red, blue and black criss-crossing colour bands, with red, black or white titling) for the 2012 reunion tour; designed by Studio Parris Wakefield, being 3-colour screenprints on heavy paper stock, hand-numbered to lower edge of poster: New Order London Brixton Academy 2 & 3 May 2012 13/220; New Order Manchester Apollo 26 & 27 April 2012 59/220; New Order United Kingdom 2012 9/320 (this last poster giving a list of all six venues and dates for the tour); some auction records list Peter Saville as part of the design team, but according to Howard Wakefield (who had taken over as creative director) “this was the first time Peter hadn’t been involved with New Order” – source: Studio Parris Wakefield website; with regards the design of the posters, bassist Peter Hook had recently (and acrimoniously) split from the band, and New Order had thus requested the design to show a clean new look, as symbolic of a clean break with the past; quickly sold out on release, these limited edition posters are now highly sought-after; the last auction record we can find is Worthpoint May 2012; Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo show one or two very minor foxed spots to white areas, o.w. Fine; the United Kingdom poster with mild edgewear to top, and mild foxing to white areas, o.w. Very Good; all with very minor foxing to rear sides.
